Building a Small-Scale Innovation Ecosystem in Higher Education Based on Social Entrepreneurship in Rural Communities
摘要
The NEWSTEP project represents an international collaboration providing European support to local rural communities in Nepal. This collaboration focuses on developing new educational models that address the problems identified in these rural communities. After analyzing needs and opportunities, social entrepreneurship emerges as the cornerstone for of educational institutions. This article presents an adaptation of the classic Isenberg model to small-scale educational organizations. The model is based on an Income Generation program (IGP). The article analyses how the IGP, led by an academic organization, addresses the different key aspects of the Isenberg model, considering its advantages and disadvantages.
