Medical practice has recently been faced with the requirement of quick and correct identification of fragments in the body of a person (fighters, civilians) who has fallen into the zone of action of mines and explosives. These issues are of relevance in stabilization points of military hospitals, which perform the primary treatment of the wounded and in which traditional means of control (X-ray machines, ultrasonic devices) may be absent.
