Advanced Health Monitoring System for ICU Patients Using IOT
摘要
The integration of Internet of Things (IoT) technologies into healthcare has led to the development of intelligent systems tailored for intensive care environments. One such innovation is an advanced health monitoring system that continuously tracks essential patient vitals like temperature, heart rate, oxygen saturation, and blood pressure using various sensors. These readings are wirelessly transmitted, allowing medical professionals to monitor patients remotely and receive immediate alerts if abnormal patterns are detected. This minimizes human error, enables quicker interventions, and improves early detection of health deterioration. The system’s design emphasizes accuracy and reliability, making it a powerful tool in managing critical care. In addition, sensors such as the DHT11 monitor environmental factors like humidity and temperature, with all data displayed on an LCD screen. An Arduino-based setup transmits this data to an Android app using a WiFi module. Traditional ICU monitoring often depends on manual checks and wired devices, which can delay urgent responses. This IoT-driven approach revolutionizes patient care by offering real-time, accessible, and comprehensive monitoring.
