A Green Eco-System: Design of Solar Energy Utilized e-Vehicle Integrated on IoT Technology
摘要
The proposed control method is a vital part in the trend of electric vehicles in their future degree to solar power. This system, intelligently switches the battery to directly supply the electric motor and is more focused or reliant on the solar energies in charging the battery. An arrangement of solar panels, capturing sunlight to produce DC electricity. The voltage in this case is monitored by a voltage sensor, which in turn assures that the panels are being used at peak efficiency by adjusting voltage accordingly. This DC output is then fed to a microcontroller module, the intelligence of the setup. Every so often these sensors read the voltage and current of the solar panel and send them to the sensor along with the battery health and state of charge. Then decisions are made in real-time on the observation of the results. If the solar power is enough to serve the motor's needs, the power is sent to the switching circuit to directly couple the panels to the inverter for supplying it. This inverter in turn switches the DC solar electricity, into blood running through the veins of the electric motor, and into the wheels turning this vehicle forward. Surplus solar is then intelligently used to charge the battery rather than being sold back to the grid, ultimately avoiding excessive battery cycling and ageing. But when the light of day is done, and with it the level of sunlight fuelling the system falls below a certain level, the system switches automatically over to battery power. The voltage drop is sensed and causes the switching circuit to transfer power from the panels to the battery. The inverter still supplies the motor with excellent DC from battery, and this seamless transition equals in uninterrupted power supply to the motor. To improve the efficiency of this system even more, program can be optimized and draw on numerous techniques. Solar, of course, is at the top, so as much renewable energy as possible is used. The potency of the proposed approach is illustrated via MATLAB Simulink and is validated with the experiments.
