Development of a Human Digital Twin Implementation in MATLAB
摘要
Human digital twins are regarded as a subclass of digital twins where the physical asset being reflected is a human individual. Advancements in the development of human digital twins are seen in multiple domains, including healthcare, manufacturing and infrastructure developments, such as smart cities, where focus is placed on collecting data from people that play an integral role in operations and representing their human state through models. In this article, the development of a human digital twin implementation is presented to explore the opportunities for the development of human digital twins in MATLAB, in which data analyses and algorithm development are performed owing to its accessibility at research institutions. This article proposes a human digital twin implementation architecture, validation of its implementation in MATLAB against a benchmark case study and discusses the implications of the implementation. The results show that MATLAB is a promising platform for building a digital twin development platform, which forms part of as an initial investigation of a greater project called the Digital Twin Launchpad.
