Study of Diesel Engine Fuel Consumption with the Help of a Digital Twin
摘要
The aim of the study is to develop recommendations for setting up an electronic PID speed controller for a turbocharged automobile diesel engine to optimize fuel consumption. The article presents the creation of an electronic model of a diesel engine, verification of the results of electronic modeling with motor studies. A mathematical model of a diesel engine equipped with an in-line high-pressure fuel pump, an all-mode electronic speed controller, which includes a microprocessor unit, an actuator and mechanical connections between them, is described. The adequacy of the mathematical model is verified by motor studies in static and dynamic modes. The article presents the results of engine tests, as a result of which the values of fuel pump rail vibrations were determined under different engine operating modes. The influence of PID parameters of the speed controller on fuel consumption, taking into account oscillations in the fuel pump ramp, was determined.
