The road industry is the most material-intensive, has a major impact on carbon emissions and environmental degradation. At the same time, scientists are increasingly concerned about climate change, and the demand for environmentally friendly, natural building materials and technologies is growing. One of the natural materials that can be used in construction is biochar. In terms of its physical and mechanical properties, biochar is a unique material that has a positive effect on the properties of bitumen as a modifier and is capable of binding carbon on a large scale, thereby helping to reduce the negative impact on the environment. Biochar is produced from various organic waste. Nowadays, much attention is paid to the environmental component of road construction. Of interest are composites with a high biochar content, as low-carbon and environmentally friendly building materials. Although the use of biochar as a component in building materials began relatively recently, due to its properties, it has great prospects and potential for sustainable development. The use of biochar in road construction can help increase the durability of road surfaces, improve drainage properties and reduce deformations, which has a positive effect on the state of the transport infrastructure. In addition, the use of such materials reduces the need for traditional, less environmentally friendly resources, facilitating the transition to a more sustainable transport system. The objective of this study is to determine the possibility of using biochar as a modifying additive in building materials used in transport infrastructure to improve performance, extend the service life of structures and reduce negative environmental impacts.

摘要
