This article analyzes the possibilities of applying artificial intelligence (AI) in the Lithuanian warehousing sector, to assess how these technologies can contribute to operational efficiency and resource optimization. The aim of the study is to identify the main AI technologies, assess their benefits and reveal the obstacles hindering the wider implementation of AI in the Lithuanian warehousing sector. The article uses a mixed research method: analysis of scientific literature and quantitative empirical research (questionnaire survey). During the survey, data were collected from 60 representatives of the Lithuanian logistics sector companies. The literature review reveals that the implementation of artificial intelligence can significantly improve the speed of execution and decision-making processes. However, the results of the empirical study revealed that the biggest obstacles, workforce readiness, technological integration and regulatory barriers, are greater challenges to the successful application of AI. The study findings emphasize that to effectively implement AI solutions, not only technological but also organizational readiness is necessary. The insights presented in the article may be useful for warehouse operators, representatives of logistics companies, and decision-makers seeking to promote the implementation of innovations in the logistics sector. The novelty of the study is that it empirically assesses the barriers to AI implementation specifically in the Lithuanian warehousing sector.

摘要
