In Chap. 9 , we synthesize our arguments about queer activism in Iceland and turn to the possibilities and challenges of queer futurities, revisiting the questions posed in Chap. 1 . We argue that queer futurities must reject linear narratives of progress and instead embrace multiplicity, fragmentation, and discontinuities in history. We envision queer futurities as historically grounded and shaped by lived experience, memory, and storytelling—critically entangled with assemblage thinking and the coloniality of power. This approach allows queer activism to remain critically engaged, resisting both exceptionalism and the inclusion of normativity.

摘要
