Wearable devices or sensors are becoming crucial, especially because they can help create systems that monitor a person’s health all the time. These sensors need to be flexible so they can move with the body, and they should feel light or barely noticeable when worn. They must also be strong enough to handle stretching, movement, and exposure to things like sweat, heat, or dust. To make wearable sensors work well, different types of materials with unique chemical, physical, and heat-resistant properties need to be used together. This chapter provides a brief explanation of the common materials used in wearable sensors, regardless of the chosen design method. Firstly, the most recent advancements in these materials and their manufacturing process are showcase. Then, methods of combining all these different materials into one working sensor are discussed.
