Design Strategy of On-Site First Aid Technology Teaching Video from the Perspective of RCS Motivation Model
摘要
Nowadays, simple on-site first aid techniques have become popular among the public, and instructional videos can convey first aid knowledge and techniques well. The RCS Motivation Model, or Reinforcement, Competence, and Self-determination Theory, is a theoretical framework in the field of psychology that explains and predicts human motivation. Proposed by psychologists Deci and Ryan, this model highlights the critical role of external reinforcement, intrinsic sense of competence, and the individual’s autonomous choice in motivating and sustaining behavioral motivation. This includes both positive and negative reinforcement and refers to increasing or decreasing the likelihood of a certain behavior by rewarding or avoiding punishment. In first aid teaching, reinforcement can be expressed as positive feedback on correct operation or corrective guidance on wrong operation. MATLAB simulation shows that under certain evaluation criteria, RCS motivation model is a teaching video for learning first aid techniques in the field the content captured is easier to attract the attention of learners and thus better motivation to learn.
