With the rapid development of information technology, the human society has fully entered the information age. In this context, the public administration department faces unprecedented data challenges and opportunities. As an important position to cultivate future public managers, public management courses need to integrate cutting-edge technologies, especially data mining algorithms, to improve students’ data analysis ability, so as to better deal with the complex and changeable public management problems. This paper aims to discuss how to effectively integrate the teaching of data mining algorithm in public management courses in the information age, so as to cultivate compound talents who have both management theory literacy and data analysis skills.
