Taking inspiration from “Swaach Bharat Mission” the proposed research work presents design and implementation of low cost prototype SmartBin for smart campus. A smart campus is built based on the advanced infrastructure of network and internet-connected devices to provide supportive and engaging experiences to all the stakeholders. One of the major issues of Smart Campus is clean campus. The proposed work’s primary goal is to design and implement of an eco-friendly, intelligent SmartBin that will contribute to maintaining a clean environment. SmartBin is designed using ultrasonic sensor, GSM module, Arduino and servo motor as major components. With the help of the sensor, distance are monitored to provide untouchable response of dustbin and also level of garbage is monitored to send notification by GSM module to the authority for clean-up. The SmartBin system can operate as planned, according to the test findings.
