The slate deposits of India, Nepal and Bhutan in Asia are located in the HimalayasAsia. In India, slate is also found southwest of Delhi in the Proterozoic Mobile Belt or in the Proterozoic Basin (Andhra Pradesh). Further deposits can be found in the Annamite Range in Laos and in the Hoang Lien Son Mountains in Lai Châu Province in Vietnam on the border with China.
