Indium-111 (Half-Life 2.8 d; Decays by Electron Capture to Cd-111; 172 keV and 245 keV)
摘要
In-111-DTPA has similar kinetics to Tc-99m-DTPA but has limited use in routine nuclear medicine. In-111 is used to label blood cells, especially leucocytes for white cell scanning. It also labels proteins, including polyclonal immunoglobulin for imaging inflammation and lymphoscintigraphy, and monoclonal antibodies for a variety of novel indications. In-111 sometimes finds a role in dual isotope studies when the other radiopharmaceutical is labelled with Tc-99m, usually confined to research studies. Leucocytes can also be labelled with Tc-99m-HMPAO for white cell scanning, as described in this chapter.
