For Sweden, the overriding security tasks at present are supporting Ukraine as well as strengthening itself and Europe generally against ongoing Russian aggression. The transatlantic link can no longer be taken för granted, and European NATO countries therefore need to take joint responsibility for the defence and security of Europe, including Ukraine. As for Sweden, all political parties agree on the need for Swedish rearmament and for military, financial and political aid to Ukraine.
