Poland: All (Not So) Quiet on the Eastern Front
摘要
The Russo-Ukrainian war continues to have a significant impact on Poland and its policies. Taking into account recent changes in the global political landscape (such as Trump’s second U.S. presidency term) and internal political competition (government change in 2023 and presidential elections in 2025), Poland struggles to conduct a security policy that is in line with the European project, not against the new U.S. administration and acceptable to its own citizens. All this is being contemplated against the looming threat of war, which Poles sense as being somewhere between ‘yellow’ and ‘red’.
