Development of Technologies for Obtaining and Studying the Properties of Solvents from Gas Condensate

This chapter introduces applied chemistry to the readers through various technologies and methods that are used to evaluate raw materials, particularly gas condensate. It describes object and methods of research on the composition and physicochemical properties of initial feedstock and its fractions, types of gas condensates, and the methods for studying their properties. The chapter also includes the qualitative and quantitative studies of the compositions of the gas condensates of the “Shurtan” and “Maymanak” deposits in Uzbekistan. Information on the solvents obtained from gas condensate on the pilot plant ARN-2 and the study of the operational properties of the solvents of the series GC-PVM is also included. Names and conditional designation of gas condensate solvents, as well as the methods for studying the physicochemical properties of mixed, aromatic, aliphatic solvents, and paint materials were stipulated.
