This chapter provides a multidisciplinary evaluation of the Kasserine Aquifer System (KAS), a faulted transboundary aquifer in central Tunisia and northeastern Algeria. By integrating geological modeling, hydrogeochemistry, stable isotope analysis, and numerical simulations, we characterize the aquifer structure, and flow dynamics under arid conditions. Results highlight partial connectivity across tectonic compartments, dominant focused recharge, and system vulnerability to overexploitation. The methodology offers a transferable framework for sustainable groundwater management in structurally complex and data-scarce regions.

摘要
