Methods of surgical closure of bronchial fistulas after pneumonectomy are presented. The technique of managing the bronchial fistula through a full sternotomy approach is discussed. Technical details of transcervical closing bronchial fistulas after right- and left-sided pneumonectomy are also analyzed. The technique of fistula closure using thoracomyoplasty with pedicled muscle flaps is described.
