The use of electric vehicles and renewable energy can make a significant contribution to reducing pollution levels and promoting a cleaner and more sustainable environment. Energy systems are being transformed to increase sustainability. The integration of EV charging points in the power grid is an evolving issue of major importance for public service operators. Over the years, distributed generation has been introduced in the distribution system to improve the voltage profile, to improve voltage regulation and to minimize losses, resulting in increased stability in addition to economic benefits. Here we will discuss the optimal location of wind based distributed generation (DG) in distribution system networks integrated with EV charging points. The impact of the optimal location of the DG on the voltage profile and losses shall be reported.
