The rapid evolution of technology has revolutionized modern industries and reshaped the way humans interact with machines. This growth could not have happened without the use of a new culture that aims the integration of the advancing field of AI technologies integrated with Human Computer Interaction (HCI), which has increased the value and the need of robots so far. They are becoming increasingly important, for example, in the manufacturing process, and their deployment became a sign of growth and improvement. However, humans remain a vital and dynamic element within the system. In this context, Industry 5.0 offers a solution where it emphasizes the need of human workers alongside the new technologies to enhance productivity without replacing any relevant element in this context, and advocates for collaboration between humans and machines, leveraging each other's strengths to create a new version of the industrial ecosystem focused on greater effectiveness, productivity, and sustainability. This review explores the historical evolution of the industry, highlights the way how technologies like digital twins and human digital twins support in making this big change, and discusses their potential applications, implementations, and key aspects within different sectors. Additionally, the review addresses the components, benefits, and challenges associated with these concepts.

摘要
