The Effect of Training According to Interval Load Levels on Developing Speed Endurance and the 1500-Meter Performance for Men

We investigated the effect of a periodised training intervention on speed endurance (SE), 1500 m speed trial (ST) completion time and physiological adaptations. To evaluate the efficiency of the recommended training, a comparative analysis was carried out between the experimental group and a control group utilizing traditional training methods. Results showed that the experimental group improved significantly on speed endurance decreasing their 100 m time from 16.21 to 15.02 s converted pace and completion time of 1500 m race decreased from 250.42 to 241.78 s. Moreover, notable physiological changes were noted, including larger decreases in resting heart rate and lactate. These results further support the validity of the training modality proposed to improve both athletic performance and physiological efficiency. The study shows how targeted endurance training can maximize performance, minimize fatigue and enhance important physiological markers. Future work could examine long-term effects, improve training methodologies, and assess applicability in various athlete populations.
