This paper explores the revolutionary contribution of fintech technology to revolutionize the bank sector with innovations such as blockchain, artificial intelligence, and electronic banking products. It discusses how the above innovations spur enhanced financial services, efficiency in operations, customer satisfaction, and regulatory regulation while pointing out related opportunities and challenges for traditional bank institutions. Methodology. This research utilizes a qualitative method, using extensive examination of the available literature, case studies, and reports by industries to analyze the impact of fintech on banking. The data are collected from the financial regulatory bodies, fintech companies, and banking organizations to provide an unbiased appraisal of developing fintech trends and their ramifications. Findings. The research findings reveal that fintech has increased banking efficiency, lowered the cost of transactions, and increased financial inclusion. However, cybersecurity threats, regulatory risks, and the disconnect between the digital and non-digital worlds remain. To cope with competition, the traditional banks are compelled to cooperate more deeply with fintech companies, leading to a hybrid financial system. Practical Implications. The results offer practical recommendations for banking institutions looking to incorporate fintech solutions, policymakers crafting regulatory policies, and investors looking to venture into fintech-led opportunities. The research emphasizes the need to strike a balance between technological advancement, security, and regulatory compliance to ensure long-term financial development. Value/Originality.This study contributes to the current fintech literature by providing a contemporary, multidimensional explanation of its impact on the banking sector. In contrast to previous research, it incorporates economic, regulatory, and technological perspectives to offer a comprehensive explanation of the evolving role of fintech in the provision of financial services.
