Epilogue: Lines of Further Research
摘要
In this chapter I extract more speculative claims from the preceding chapters. The aim of this exercise is to show that synthetic philosophy, even if dealing in the first place with theoretical issues, inevitably interfaces with problems of practical importance (Sect. 2), as well as with scientific ones (Sect. 1). Section 1 aims at rehabilitating the principle of causation and at showing that it offers a most synthetic solution to Bell’s theorem. Section 2 dips a toe in the intricate and intriguing universe of questions related to human agency in a causal world. The theses in this chapter are not derived with the same rigour as most of the preceding ones; they are therefore not necessarily part of the MCT. Yet, since they are based on synthetic results, I believe they are, to the least, interesting topics for further research. Most arguments are presented in a succinct manner.
