Legislation requires a sustainable lifecycle management, which offers companies the opportunity to establish themselves on the market. These companies find themselves in competition with each other and using the latest technological developments for securing the future market position. Therefore, the consequences of the fourth industrial revolution effect the recycling and waste disposal industry. In this article it is roughly shown, which fields of application in the range of “Industry 4.0” regarding to the recycling industry are possible. Furthermore, this article set out how a selected range within a closed waste-to-energy plant can be modelled and simulated with petri-nets. The aim of the present document is to describe the foundations of the disposal logistics system, to explore the possibilities of the fourth industrial revolution in this functional logistic sector and to model and simulate selected fields with petri-nets. Using the example of waste incineration plant modelling and an exemplary simulation with Petri nets, it will be shown how Industry 4.0 can be implemented in the recycling and waste management industry.

摘要
