This chapter is devoted to first-order partial differential equations. It considers classifications of first-order partial differential equations as linear, nonlinear, quasilinear, and semilinear. Some methods for the solvability of first-order partial differential equations are considered. It introduces and investigates the Cauchy problem for first-order partial differential equations. The Pfaffian equation is investigated. Some special systems of first-order partial differential equations are introduced.

This chapter is devoted to first-order partial differential equations. It considers classifications of first-order partial differential equations as linear, nonlinear, quasilinear, and semilinear.
