The efforts to detect and prevent terrorist activities involve huge efforts at multinational levels, as terrorism is controlled by many individuals or organisations with multiple geographical areas, and the method of attacks also differs from time to time, which is where the importance of forensic investigations comes in. It used various scientific methods to detect and get information from captured terrorists and analysis of evidence, and this chapter explains it. The merits and limitations of various investigating strategies were explored. Medical analysis and investigations primarily use autopsies, forensic pathology, toxicology, serology, and advanced imaging techniques to determine causes of death, investigate unnatural deaths and injuries, and identify individuals, thus providing vital evidence for legal proceedings. A risk assessment identifies potential hazards; it involves determining the likelihood of a specific threat occurring, which requires a deep understanding of what is being assessed. The importance of biometric technology in fighting terrorist crimes is growing due to the increasing global security threats and the need to enhance law enforcement efficiency. In addition to these techniques, the chapter deals with biometrics, digital forensics, ballistic analysis, and brain fingerprinting.
