Analysis of the Digitalization of Consulting Schools and Digitalization Potential from the Perspective of Consultants and Customers
摘要
This article examines the theoretical and empirical scientific work on the digitalization of management consulting from the perspective of artificial intelligence. The model of Artificial Intelligence of Everything (AIoE) functions as an extension of the Internet of Everything (IoE) and enables the transformation of the triad consulting model to the tetrad model, which is extended by the component of digitalization. This model provides guidance for consulting companies and consulting clients. In this context, digitalization potentials are systematically analyzed and presented according to consulting schools. In the course of the qualitative and quantitative empirical research, the digitalization situation of Austrian consulting companies and consulting clients operating regionally in Austria and internationally is analyzed. The qualitative empirical work, conducted as expert interviews, resulted in 18 topics that are relevant for the digitalization of corporate consulting from the client and consultant perspective. They show the opportunities, risks, and framework conditions of digitalization. The quantitative work shows the assessments for five groups of digitalization topics from the perspective of consulting companies and consulting clients in Austria. The consulting clients are more positive about digitalization than the consulting firms. The gender-specific differences also appear interesting.
