In this paper I will deal with the aspects of artificial intelligence (AI) related to information connected services, like library work. According to my view, AI literacy must get closer to information literacy. The definitions of AI literacy stress other aspects so I see it necessary to compare AI literacy to information literacy standards. Competent use of AI needs special information literacy skills. AI literacy competences combined with information literacy competences can give the necessary skills for information professionals to apply new technology efficiently. AI literacy itself is not enough, that is why it is necessary to introduce a new term, called AI information literacy that contains those competencies that are needed to compensate the limitations of AI related to information literacy.
