This paper explores the development and implementation of Library 101, an open educational resource (OER) e-text designed to provide foundational information literacy instruction for college students. As online learning increasingly becomes central to higher education, academic libraries must adapt their instructional approaches to meet students’ evolving needs. The Library 101 e-text was developed using Universal Design for Learning and Backward Design principles to create an accessible, self-paced learning resource that reduces library anxiety and fosters essential research skills. Since its launch in Fall 2023, the e-text has reached thousands of students across diverse academic programs. Through the analysis of over 1,100 student feedback responses, this study illustrates how thoughtfully designed asynchronous digital resources can effectively deliver scalable library instruction while maintaining pedagogical rigor.

摘要
