Finale: 1984–1990
摘要
This chapter covers the final 6 years of Cremin’s life, as he transitioned from being president of Teachers College to the president of the Spencer Foundation and his role as senior and eminent scholar in the education field. His presidency of the Spencer Foundation offers a good example of his now mature leadership capacities, as well as his ongoing commitment to maintain his position as a full-time faculty member at Teachers College, engaged in teaching and scholarship. Cremin also experienced personal and professional losses during this time. His sudden death in early September 1990 occasioned a number of fond and praising testimonials that highlighted his accomplishments.
