Welcome to the world of child neurology board question review! The field of child neurology is filled with complex, nuanced pathology. It has grown immensely in recent years, in terms of both diagnosis and treatment. Advances in imaging, improved access to EEG, and the rise of genetic testing capabilities have led to a surge of knowledge regarding neurologic disease in this vulnerable population. This has also introduced more multidisciplinary collaboration between child neurologists and other subspecialists, allowing for more insight and guidance on neurologic disease even extending to prenatal counseling for concerns identified in-utero. After spending 5 years training alongside one another as co-residents, we are thrilled to collaborate on this question bank. We sought to provide a diverse array of high-yield questions, ranging from topics including pediatric epilepsy syndromes to genetic syndromes and sleep disorders. When approaching a child neurology board review question, it is important to keep the age of the patient in mind, as this is crucial context which will allow you to narrow an often very broad differential. Having a firm grasp on normal developmental milestones will also serve you well. We hope you find these questions helpful!
