Reactive nitrogen (Nr) pollution from agriculture and urban sectors is affecting integrity and resilience of the biosphere. Fertilizer use is the dominant source of atmospheric ammonia (NH₃), resulting in problems related to air quality and nitrogen cycles. The Indo-Gangetic Plain and Western Bangladesh are identified as the major hotspots of ammonium (NH₄⁺) and nitrate (NO₃⁻) air pollution.

摘要

Reactive nitrogen (Nr) pollution from agriculture and urban sectors is affecting integrity and resilience of the biosphere. Fertilizer use is the dominant source of atmospheric ammonia (NH₃), resulting in problems related to air quality and nitrogen cycles. The Indo-Gangetic Plain and Western Bangladesh are identified as the major hotspots of ammonium (NH₄⁺) and nitrate (NO₃⁻) air pollution.
