A novel fluorescence detection system designed to enhance Point-of-Care (PoC) real-time PCR instruments is presented. It uses a modular array of readout units coordinated via a custom communication protocol. An advanced image processing pipeline corrects perspective distortions to create accurate composite fluorescence maps. The realized prototype improves flexibility, spatial resolution, spectral range, and optical uniformity. Real-time PCR assays validate its quantitative performance, demonstrating its broad applicability.
