摘要

Technologies for solving configuration problems must deal with complex problems and huge solution spaces. Knowledge-based reasoning is a family of approaches that separate declarative problem specifications from problem-independent solving mechanisms. In this chapter, we present overviews of important knowledge-based approaches suited for configuration: variant tables, feature models, rule-based systems, logics, and constraint programming. Finally, we briefly describe commercial configuration solutions.
