Sleep
摘要
Sleep is a cornerstone of health, yet it’s often not given the same thought or effort as other lifestyle concerns, such as diet and exercise. This chapter offers a practical, evidence-based guide to helping patients improve their sleep using strategies that go beyond quick fixes and sleeping pills. It emphasizes the role of routines, behaviours, and environmental factors—while debunking common myths and addressing the psychological barriers that keep patients up at night. With a structured, patient-centred approach rooted in behavioural change theory, clinicians can confidently counsel patients on how to build healthier sleep habits, improve energy, and enhance overall well-being—starting with a better night’s rest.
