The originality of this book lies in adopting the neighbourhoodNeighbourhood perspective to study migrant integration, focusing not only on low-skilled migrantsLow-skilled migrants but also on middle- and high-income groups and their integration paths in various neighbourhood types, such as new commodity housingNew commodity housing estate estatesCommodity housing estates and privatised work unit compounds. Peri-urban areas, as rapidly urbanising regions, exhibit both urban characteristics and retain rural features, making them crucial spaces for migrant settlements and social integration.
