Planting and Horticulture
摘要
This chapter introduces the practices of growing, horticultural techniques, growing zones, selecting cultivars, seed germination, and optimization of plant growth and plant defense against diseases. This chapter also describes seed germination, soil types, mulching, and growing zones. Selecting climate-suitable crop varieties ensures optimal growth and yields. Organic farming systems emphasize natural soil fertility, pest management, and ecological balance. Optimizing plant growth involves integrating proper cultural practices, such as ensuring adequate light, balanced nutrition, and appropriate irrigation. Additionally, understanding plant pathogens and implementing effective defense mechanisms are important. This chapter also covers the advances in crop disease management, crop rotation, and cultivar selection for sustainable farming.
