This article presents a compact single-stage low noise amplifier (LNA) designed for Ku-band LNBs in satellite TV receivers. The amplifier targets a noise figure below 2 dB and a gain above 10 dB across the 10.7–12.75 GHz RF high band. It uses the NPN wideband SiGe RF transistor BFU730F, optimized for satellite communication applications.
