A Post-quantum Secure Messaging Application for mHealth Systems
摘要
Quantum computing represents a growing threat to the security of information systems, including medical data, whose protection is essential in an increasingly digitalized healthcare ecosystem. The potential breakdown of current cryptographic standards could jeopardize not only the confidentiality of clinical records but also the trust in communication platforms between patients and healthcare professionals. In response to this challenge, we present a secure medical messaging application designed to strengthen the doctor–patient relationship in a post-quantum environment. The solution combines an accessible user experience with facial biometric authentication, post-quantum encryption, and features aimed at enhancing understanding and support. Among its most notable functionalities are an integrated chatbot that assists users by answering questions about medical terms or interpreting specific content from medical reports. Additionally, the platform fosters the creation of communities of patients with similar conditions, offering a space for mutual support and reducing the sense of isolation that often accompanies chronic illnesses or sensitive diagnoses. This proposal not only offers a technological response to emerging threats, but also redefines doctor–patient communication from a more secure, inclusive, and empathetic perspective.
