ERS for Emerging Asia: Infrastructure Readiness and Challenges
摘要
The effective implementation of Electric Road Systems (ERS) in economies in their infancy is not only a technological issue but also a basic reliance on the existing state of the infrastructure base of a country. ERS is an overlay technology; its performance, reliability and economic viability are directly limited by the quality of the substrate upon which it is implemented, namely, the road networks and the power grid. The decarbonisation of heavy freight transport is a promise that is already promising, but the infrastructural realities that lie on the way to its implementation differ considerably within the Asian continent.
