Environmental Policy of Modern Language Classes and Sustainable Education

The research incorporating sustainability into English Language Teaching (ELT) is methodically reviewed in this article, highlighting the vital role that education plays in using language acquisition to address global environmental issues. Integrating sustainability into English Language Teaching (ELT) offers a special chance. Learning a language is a strong instrument for influencing attitudes, behaviors, and perceptions. It goes beyond simply mastering grammar and vocabulary. Teachers can encourage environmental action and promote sustainable behaviors across cultural boundaries by using the English language to teach sustainability-focused ELT. Environmental issues could be covered in contemporary language programs. Teaching terminology and having conversations about climate change, sustainability, and conservation initiatives could be part of this. Since language classes expose students to a variety of cultural perspectives on environmentalism, they are an excellent means of promoting understanding of environmental issues. The article underlines that in light of the current global environmental crisis; it is essential to inculcate eco-consciousness in our future generations. The classroom is one of the finest places to begin. By encouraging sustainable habits, we can rescue the environment and teach pupils important life lessons about responsibility, conservation, and the impact of their activities. For a more sustainable and environmentally friendly future, we will examine several creative and useful approaches to incorporating sustainable practices in the classroom.
