In this paper, a cybersecurity certification-based program is proposed. The objective is the integration of Internet of Things (IoT) and hardware cybersecurity engineering into STEM education. The paper examines existing cybersecurity certification frameworks and programs to efficiently integrate their requirements into the proposed curriculum. The proposed program is designed to provide beginner, intermediate and advanced level of knowledge about the covered topic. It also equips participants with practical skills, offering hands-on experiments depending on the proposed expertise levels. This overall approach bridges STEM education with real-world problem-solving in hardware-based security systems.
