Under the backdrop of the prosperity of higher education and the increase in output, college students’ employment market is pursuing with difficult problems and rare good opportunities. Based on data mining technology, this paper established the general analysis model of college students’ employment market trend. It discusses not only the official data released by National Bureau of Statistics, Ministry of Education and those from main-stream recruitment platform, but also unsystematic social media corpora on the internet. Descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, cluster analysis and time series prediction and other DM tools are employed in the study to explore the structure and future development of job market. The validation results show that this model has good prediction power over the training and testing datasets, with an accuracy above 90%. Finally, Recommendations for improving the employability of college or university graduates with the theoretical enlightenment that based on model analysis, thus further enhancing their competitive advantage in job-hunting.
