Purpose-Driven Mission: A History of the American Society of Neuroradiology (ASNR): 1990–2024
摘要
The American Society of Neuroradiology (ASNR), founded in 1962, is a professional organization dedicated to the development of training standards in neuroradiology, fostering research in neuroradiology, and providing a forum for collaboration among neuroradiologists and related professionals. During its first three decades, the ASNR accomplished a steady growth in membership, expansion of its annual scientific meeting, and the creation of the dedicated journal (AJNR). Since 1990, ASNR has continued to grow and evolve, achieving subspecialty certification in neuroradiology, creating the ASNR Foundation to support research, and conducting a full range of education, advocacy, and international outreach activities. This chapter outlines the growth, development, and evolution of ASNR during the last three decades.
