In 1980, five radiologists initiated the field of neuroradiology in South Korea. Since then, the efforts and passion of the early pioneers and our members have been the basis for the remarkable development of the Korean Society of Neuroradiology (KSNR). The KSNR has made persistent efforts to advance neuroradiology research (neuroimaging, head and neck imaging, and neurointervention) and systematically and efficiently enhance image-based management in neuroradiology by providing scientific evidence. Since the late 1990s, the KSNR has been systematically subdivided into detailed specialized subsocieties to achieve sustainable academic development through more profound exchanges in clinical case discussions and research. The KSNR will continue to pursue developments that meet the scientific and societal needs of the times by collaborating with various international societies of neuroradiology.

摘要
