Suppression of Online Firestorms in Online Social Networks Based on Oscillation Model
摘要
An online firestorm is one of the social problems on Online Social Networks (OSNs), and countermeasures are required. In the network oscillation model, which describes user dynamics in OSNs, an online firestorm is observed as explosive dynamics. In our previous studies, we have shown the network structure that causes an online firestorm by analyzing the oscillation model. However, real-world OSNs are very large and complex, making it difficult to grasp their overall structure. In this paper, we demonstrate that by simulating large-scale networks using the oscillation model, it is possible to detect nodes that trigger an online firestorm based on local observations. We also show that by applying the operation to such nodes, an online firestorm can be suppressed in many cases.
