Enhancing Student-Centric Learning Approaches and Exploring AI Integration
摘要
The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) with innovative teaching strategies, such as the flipped classroom approach and the blended learning method, alongside the use of Learning Management Systems (LMS), has reshaped higher education, enhancing remote knowledge acquisition. This article highlights how adopting LMS, such as Moodle, within a flipped classroom approach for Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) in C++ has enhanced engineering students’ learning experience. Through blended learning method, students can engage in self-paced learning, conduct online assessments, and receive real-time feedback. Furthermore, the integration of AI in coding C++ enhances programming efficiency and problem-solving through smart suggestions, debugging support, and personalized guidance. The main goal of this article is to highlight the added value of an e-learning platform, coupled with AI-driven coding support, successfully promotes self-regulated learning among second-year common core engineering students at Esprit School of Engineering. Precisely, it explores the integration of AI-driven assistants in programming to enhance C++ learning. It examines the feasibility of AI-powered scripting for skill acquisition, defining its pedagogical benefits and identifying key constraints. The study also proposes a structured learning methodology through a C++ programming workshop, demonstrating how AI assistance improves coding efficiency, error detection, and conceptual understanding.
