Working with Dreams
摘要
This chapter begins by exploring how dreamwork has been of interest to various disciplines, including psychiatry, psychology, psychotherapy and counselling. There is a discussion of the types of dreams a client might bring to therapy, including lucid dreams, dreams about loss, and nightmares. Two methods highlighted in this chapter include pluralistic adaptations from the Gestalt approach and the storyline alteration strategy. The case studies included adopt a pluralistic approach, and issues include working with bereavement and abandonment. The following section focuses on a group dream workshop and finally takes a pluralistic approach to working with nightmares.
